| At our Children’s Homes we seek to provide quality, professional and safe care for young people who are vulnerable and/or a risk to themselves or others. We aim to enable young people to develop inner controls, respect for self and others and take responsibility for their actions.
We have drawn upon over 20 years of managerial experience in children’s services to help develop and shape the services offered, which focus on the needs of the young people placed in our care. The policies and aims of our Children’s Homes are derived from the principles of childcare best practice and reflect the “Every Child Matters” agenda:
- Stay safe
- Be healthy
- Enjoy and achieve
- Make a positive contribution
- Achieve economic wellbeing
All Homes have comprehensive child protection policies approved by the Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB). Any safeguarding issues are sent to the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) for investigation.
We are committed to ensuring that we promote equality, respect, justice, fairness and dignity. We recognise the varied needs, expectations and cultures of the young people in our care. We acknowledge and celebrate, wherever possible, the wide variety of lifestyles and cultures of the young people, staff and visitors to our Homes.
Structured learning is provided within the local community or on an intensive basis within our dedicated education facility to help young people achieve the necessary skills and qualifications for employment. Rebound employ in excess of 80 qualified teachers.
Our homes are situated within local amenities including shops, banks, post offices, local bus service and health centre. They offer single bedrooms, a range of modern kitchen and domestic appliances for laundry and cooking, education facilities, games room, dining room and comfortable lounge.
