On Arrival
When children arrive at the centre they are made
welcome. They are always interviewed and assessed by experienced staff
and a member of our Youth Offending Services team will be present.
We recognise that children may be bewildered, tired and/or worried.
The admission process is undertaken in a considerate and caring manner.
| They
will be given:-
- handouts about the STC and their rights.
- information about what is acceptable
behaviour and privileges which can be earned through achievement
and satisfactory behaviour.
- a provisional date of release –
subject to written confirmation by the Youth Justice Board.
- the name of their keyworker to whom they
will be introduced.
